Started by historian Tarangini Sriraman, The Drinking Archive points towards new iterations of the archive. I joined this project after initial conversations with Tarangini, where I felt pulled to use format, layout, and imagery in ways that were as important as the archival content.
In the broad sense, an archive can be considered a 'text' - and as with any text, the form and substance are never separate. I wanted to use my background in visual cultures to create a unique form, one that was as archival as it was contemporary. See more below!
